Be aware most cruiseships offer fine dining resturaunts on the ship at a additional charge. These resturaunts are not mentioned to you when you order your package so be sure to ask what type of resturaunts they are and how much they cost.

Never, Never go off the ship into another country without knowing what time you need to return by. Always try and return atleast 30 minutes before departure time. Cruise ships will not return for you. Make sure you try to stay within the popular tourist areas as I have heard many a story about tourist getting robbed or taken advantage of. Keep your vacation a safe and enjoyable one.

Always check to see what activities are going on in the city that you are going to. I went on a cruise to mexico one time when they were having the presidential elections. Basically that meant that the whole weekend nobody or no bar could sell alcohol. OOPS!The travel agent that I went through forgot to mention that little point. ( not that I'm a alcoholic, but a nice margarita or 2, ok 3 would have been nice).

When you get a price on a cruise packages always remember to ask if the port charges and taxes are included in that price.
